🚀 Introduction to Kaamfu

This option determines whether selected users must install our companion desktop application Kaamfu Workstation Connect. The application is available for the following platforms:

The desktop application enables deeper visibility into active work performed on a computer and provides the following:

• Workstation activity tracking – Captures rich activity signals while users are working on their devices, including keyboard and mouse activity, URLs and applications used, network connectivity, and more.
• Screenshot sharing – Periodic screenshots are collected and analyzed to provide context and transparency.
• Auto Shift Pausing – Ensures labor accuracy and reduces costs by automatically pausing shifts when workers are idle.
• Attention Requests – Allows colleagues and peers to send attention requests directly to a worker’s desktop, bringing them into Kaamfu for collaboration without chasing across tools.
• Fraud Detection – Flags anomalous workstation activity during active shifts, helping identify potential time fraud and policy violations with contextual evidence.
• Enhanced insights – Enables richer stories, timelines, and activity summaries for managers and teams.

Requiring the desktop application is optional and role-based. You decide which users need this level of visibility based on trust, responsibility, and organizational needs. Note that users who are not required to install Kaamfu Workstation Connect can still optionally install it.

Inviting team members brings your organization into Kaamfu so real work can begin. Team members are the people who will perform tasks, communicate, and generate activity within the workspace. Team members can do the following:

• Work participation – Can create, receive, update, and complete work items, contributing directly to projects and organizational goals.
• Chat and collaboration – Kaamfu’s chat is embedded directly into every work item, allowing team members to communicate in context without switching tools or losing focus.
• Visibility and accountability – Team members appear in activity views, timelines, and reports, ensuring their work and contributions are visible to managers and peers.
• AI work assistant access – Each team member has access to their own AI work assistant to help answer questions, summarize activity, and guide them through their work.
• Flexible permissions – Any team member can later be promoted to an administrator if their role or responsibilities expand.

You can invite team members immediately or return to this step later. Kaamfu is designed to grow with your organization at your pace.

An administrator is a trusted operator who can configure your Kaamfu workspace. Administrators can do the following:

• Invite new users – Invite people into the workspace and manage access as the team grows.
• Manage the workday – Start the workday so workers can shift in and start their tasks.
• Manage working hours – Define standard working hours for the organization.
• Manage workspaces – Create and configure workspaces.
• Administer Workstation Connect – Enable and manage Workstation Connect mandates across the team.
• Manage reporting – Configure reports and visibility views for oversight and analysis.

Administrators operate with broad authority to keep the system running smoothly, but ownership and ultimate control always remain with the owner. Owners can adjust or revoke administrator access at any time.
